“My child has learned the importance of volunteering, the dedication needed to be part of group/team, time management skills and how to work together with all personalities to achieve the best outcome.” ~ A UHS Parent
Annual Events
Corn Roast
The Athletic Booster Club sponsors the annual Corn Roast. The event includes great fellowship and food and the introduction of our fall athletes.
Class Dinners
The Home and School Association sponsors a pot luck dinner for the freshmen and senior classes. Students attend with their families and the evening includes presentations from the administration or students.
Student One-Acts
The Ursuline Theater Department sponsors an evening of student directed/written one-act plays. Students submit scripts to the Theater Director, who selects five to six for production. The student directors cast actors, build simple sets, and hold rehearsals.
Mooney Week
Our annual spirit week is one of the most anticipated weeks at Ursuline. Students spend weeks preparing. The week includes an area of the school decorated by each class, decorated classroom doors, class competitions, a huge rally, and a super tailgate party. Of course, the week concludes with the much anticipated football game with Ursuline’s friendly rival, Cardinal Mooney.
Varsity Dance
This semiformal dance is Ursuline’s version of a homecoming dance. The dance is “guy ask girl,” but many people attend stag. The dance is held outside of school and all grades may attend.
Christmas Match-Up
On the last day before Christmas Break begins, each student receives a green or red card with a number. The student must find their match who has the same number on the opposite color card. Student pairs who find their match are placed in a raffle drum for a chance to win several prizes at the end of the day.
Sophomore Week
In celebration of our sophomore class, Ursuline sponsors Sophomore Week. The week includes different activities each year based on the interests of the students. The week includes events such as tours of the Butler Institute of American Art, the annual pen – pal assembly, Teacher Appreciation Day and more.
Fine Arts Assembly
The Fine and Performing Arts are celebrated throughout the year at Ursuline, but especially during our Fine Arts Assembly. Members of the band, choir, and speech and debate team perform for the student body, staff, and parents. The Ursuline Art Show, displaying the work of Ursuline’s art students, is also held during the week of the assembly in the cafeteria.
Prom
The Junior-Senior Prom is a formal dance held off-campus. The evening is planned by the junior class and includes the traditional walk-in event, dinner, dancing, and the crowning of the prom king and queen.

Clubs and Organizations
Ursuline’s goal is to produce well-rounded students who possess a commitment to their community, leadership potential and a variety of experience. We offer dozens of clubs and student organizations where students can serve, perform, lead and grow.
