Feast of Saint Angela Merici - Ursuline High School

Ursuline gathered as a school community to celebrate the Feast of Saint Angela Merici on Friday, January 27.  St. Angela, the Patroness of Ursuline High School, founded the Ursuline Sisters.  The Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown founded Ursuline High School in 1905.  Dr. Linda Miller, Ursuline Religious Education Department, led the service and Sister Regina Rogers O.S.U., Assistant Principal, gave an inspiring reflection on the life and legacy of St. Angela. A donation of soap for Angela’s Place, a ministry of the Ursuline Sisters, was taken and blessed.  Angela’s Place provides a support network for families affected or infected by the HIV/AIDS virus in the Youngstown community.  Each student received a blessed pin as a visible symbol of Angela’s answer to the call of God. Soli Deo Gloria!
