Ursuline High School will graduate the Class of 2022 at its 114th Annual
Commencement Exercises on Sunday, May 29 at 1:00 PM at Stambaugh Auditorium.
The speaker will be Dr. Linda Lucarell Miller, D Min, former Ursuline Religious
Education faculty member and now Director of Religious Education (K-9) at Saint
Angela Merici Parish. Dr. Miller earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from
Youngstown State University, a Master of Religious Education (M.R.E) from Loyola
New Orleans, and Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) from St. Mary’s Seminary in Cleveland.
Academic Excellence Awards will be presented to the top graduates of the
Ursuline Class of 2022. Benjamin Blasko is the Valedictorian with a grade point
average of 4.59 on a 4.0 scale. Anna Morgione will be honored as the Salutatorian
with a grade point average of 4.53 on a 4.0 scale.

Benjamin Blasko is the son of Mr. Brian Blasko and Mrs. Laura Blasko. Ben is
the oldest of three children. Ben is a graduate of Saint Charles School and is a member of
the parish. Ben is a member of the Ursuline National Honor Society, the Soccer Team,
Math Club, Engineering Club, French Club, Students of Stewardship, and Student
Ambassadors. He has also served as a Link Crew Mentor for incoming students. Ben
intends to attend Youngstown State University to pursue a double major in Chemical
Engineering and Psychology. He hopes to become a chemical engineer.
Anna Morgione is the daughter of Atty. and Mrs. Gregory ‘91 & Kristin ‘91
Morgione. Anna is a graduate of Saint Christine School and is a member of the parish.
Anna is a four-year member of the Ursuline Tennis Team where she has been a four time
district qualifier and three time sectional champion. She has participated in Student
Council, Student Ambassadors, Interact Club, The Diversity Council, Merici Med Prep
Program, and The Link Crew. Anna intends to attend Youngstown State University to
pursue a major in nursing. She hopes to become a pediatric nurse practitioner.
Perfect Attendance Awards will be presented to Kara Henderson and
Konstantinos Patris. They have not missed a day of high school.

The Awards Assembly will take place on Thursday, May 26 at 8:00 AM in the
school gymnasium. Members of the Class of 2022 will be formally presented to the
Principal, faculty and guests at this time.

The Baccalaureate Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, May 27 at 6:20 PM at
the Cathedral Parish of Saint Columba. Bishop David J. Bonnar, Bishop of Youngstown,
will be the presider. The homilist is Rev. Kevin Peters (’78), the Pastor at Saint Angela
Merici and Saint Patrick Parishes, and Chaplain at Ursuline High School. He will be
joined by Rev. Richard Murphy, President of Ursuline, and by pastors of area Catholic

Following the Baccalaureate Liturgy, the graduates will be guests of the faculty
and administration at the annual Senior Dinner Dance to be held at Our Lady of Mount
Carmel Social Hall (Youngstown) from 8:00 PM until 10:30 PM.
