Ursuline Seniors Named Finalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program - Ursuline High School

Aaron Coates and Marie Bond, Ursuline High School Seniors, have been named finalists in the 61st Annual National Merit Scholarship Program because of their outstanding scores on the PSAT. Their scores place them in the 99th percentile of the 1.5 million students who took the test. They are now eligible for thousands of scholarships. Aaron is a graduate of Saint Rose School (Girard). At Ursuline, he is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Ambassadors, Student Council Executive Board and Interact Club. Aaron has been accepted at North Western University to study Economics. Marie graduated from Saint Patrick School (Hubbard). She is a member of the Tennis Team, Student Council Executive Board, National Honor Society, Liturgical Ministry, Interact Club and a Mission Trip (Nicaragua) participant. Marie will continue her education at the University of Notre Dame to major in Engineering. Both Aaron and Marie are research assistants at Youngstown State University doing graduate level physics research.

Ursuline has produced 9 National Merit Finalists and 7 Commended Scholars over the last six years.
