Speech and Debate Mrs. Joan Williams, Room 109 The Speech and Debate teams participate in forensic competition at the local, regional and state level. Categories include: Humorous, Drama, Oratorical, Original, Prose-Poetry, Duet Acting, U.S. and Foreign Extemporaneous, and Lincoln-Douglas Debate. Students receive coaching during the months of September and October and compete during the months of November through February. Competitions are usually scheduled on Saturdays. The team is affiliated with both the Ohio High School Speech League and the National Forensic League. Practices are held after school at least 3 nights a week during the Speech/Debate season.
